   I think my appliances have discovered that I now have a GoPro (and hat mount!)

   My countertop ice maker is busted. The metal ice forms get hot while it operates instead of cold. A few reasons that could happen, either it's out of refrigerant (leak) or it is unable to reject heat out the heatsink and fan (dust, hair on the inside of the heatsink. Either way, I get to take it apart and see what's goin' on.

     @eriner if the gas goes only the pump should get hot, but on the other hand it also seems unlikely you could block the hot side that thoroughly without smelling the blockage itself burning.

     @Guzman Do it. The one that's now broken was $100 and I got it 5.5 years ago. We use it every day. I hate ice trays, even the good ones with the silicone lids. Totally worth the money.

     If this unit turns out to be busted for real, I'm going out tomorrow and replacing it.

     @eriner Yk talking about countertop things, not many people seem to have insta host and it confuses me.
