   Breakfast was half a spicy-marinaddd grilled chicken', sticky rice and a fresh salad made by this lady in her roadside shack, across the fabled Bridge of Health and Safety guarded by her cat. The bill was £2.

     Then I went to the dentist (it's much cheaper than UK and my UK appointment was cancelled 90 mins in advance after a 4 month wait). Then, to reward myself for my bravery, I squandered £10 on a 2 hour full body massage, then valiantly had some more Khao Soi noodles (from a place run by some hill-tribe students who rarher charmingly added edible flowers to the dish) and then a beer. Gruelling day.
