All three major Abrahamic religions have their holy texts written when their communities were persecuted minorities. I think the way this siege mentality persists until today, when in fact all three communities are now very powerful and capable of oppressing others in parts of the world where they are majorities, is an issue when oppressors are incapable of seeing themselves as anything other than victims.
