   somehow my Urbit PC died, and the usb sticks attached to it all died at the same time. So I had to breach my ship and I lost all the data in there.

     @rheaplex there's a tool now for backing up and restoring your data, I just hadn't ever done it before my machine went kaput

     @Moon they really need to fix this for some value of “fix this” that doesn’t involve explaining that users don’t care about the event stream when data go poof.
