   I’ve not watched a single video of James Somerton’s and didn’t even know who he was until I learned how much of a serial plagiarist Somerton appears to be.

   I had no idea that Somerton appears to be nothing more than yet another stunt queen that ultimately offers little more complaining about women betwixt a tapestry of articles he plagiarised. Y’know… because what’s a bit of artistic grand larceny with just a spot of run-of-the-mill misogyny when you’re raking in the YouTube payouts [allegedly]?

   But godDAMN, HBomberguy exposing the bones of Somerton’s pathological commitment to lifting work he didn’t do and pass it off as his own while sounding like a two-bit gayservative.

   The *lengths* some will go to for a drop of clout is astonishing.

     @bri_seven The disheartening part for me is that there *is* a conversation to be had about how patriarchy demands everyone – women included – to behave in a way that is materially damaging to men because “men can take it and if they genuinely can’t, they should.”

     People like Somerton make the conversation untenable because they’d rather go on a thinly-veiled revenge tour instead of doing any work at all to grapple with how patriarchy obfuscates pain men are actually in while pitting men and women against each other along the most arbitrary of lines.
