I quit Facebook during the Cambridge Analytica scandal five years ago but recently used my husband’s Facebook account (which he seldom looks at) to make some posts on local lost and found pet sites. I was surprised at the amount of advertising in his feed. I mean it’s like 80% ads and another 5% shady clickbait shared by his friends. Does anyone even still use Facebook? Do advertisers know their ads are lost in a flood of other ads?

"Knows too much!" (on an ad that clearly has a very wide demographic) or "Irrelevant to me" (its an ad for something I am actually very interested in).
Run down your feed Hiding all the ads with completely arbitrary and random answers. Might take a few minutes (i do this during meetings). But the next time you do it, you'll do fewer and fewer.

It still suckers me with videos "For You" about helicopters and boats, but those Im actually interested in.

But I have nearly eliminated #Facebook #ads. Its easier than you think.
