   They had to bend over so far backwards to do this too. The framing is about "more than a decade of work" and then they include Bill Gates for having been shown a sneak preview of ChatGPT in Aug 2022 & falling for it.

     I stopped looking to the New York Times for anything tech (and a lot of other stuff) a long time ago. And today, they would rather list self proclaimed "genius" cult leaders whose claim to fame is writing Harry Potter fan fictions and have nothing to show for w.r.t. "AI" as leaders in "AI" rather than have any women. Never seen a newspaper more fascinated with the "genius" white dude than NYT, they cannot fathom women doing anything consequential in tech.
