   Where American politics are concerned, the unabashed clamour for a man that is a guilty verdict away from doing time in a federal prison is inexplicable to me.

   Not in a “how did we get here” way but in a “Why are you goddamn turkeys voting for Christmas?” kind of way.

     It just doesn’t make any sense to me why people would support someone like as Tangerine Mussolini when he’s practically “Bernie Madoff but if he were president.”

     I can only really speculate because something within me is horrified and somewhat skeptical that people would hate themselves so much, they’d support a bonafide con artist.

     Like… how apathetic if not nihilistic do you have to be to look at the absolute worst option available and emphatically support that?

     @swelljoe I kinda see where you’re coming from here but vengeance implies the folks the bigots hate were wronged by the demographics subjected to the ire of the bigots. Frankly, it’s that belief that is a major part of the con at work.

     @tilde Probably not. While it wouldn’t surprise me if he were, the overlap for me is in both Madoff and Tangerine Mussolini’s unwavering dedication to acting on a warped entitlement to everyone else’s money. That’s a specific kind of violence but that ruthless behaviour is seen in billionaires and dictators throughout history.
