    When the bank gives you middle name? Don't accept it. Make the bank take the middle name back! GET MAD! 'I don't want your damn middle name! What am I supposed to do with this?' Demand to see the bank manager! Make the bank rue the day it thought it could give Ryan Castellucci a middle name! Do you know who I am? I'm the enby who's going to burn your bank down! With my middle name! I'm an engineer! I'm going to invent a combustible middle name that burns your bank down!

    (for the avoidance of doubt, this is a shitpost and not a threat of any kind)

      The bank added my middle name to my credit card, which does not fit (19 character limit or something) and they truncated my last name.

      When I called to complain, they said they will not fix this unless I present government issued ID that does not include a middle name.

      I have complained to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and am going to go into a branch.

      @ryanc honestly, wtf is this?

      Truncating your surname is actively worse than skipping the middle name.

      @AlgorithmWolf For the UK, I am going to do a deed poll that says I'm just "Ryan Castellucci" because I have run into length limits doing bank transfers.

      @techygeek Not practical, it's one of my oldest credit cards and closing it would decrease the "average account age" metric by several years"...and I have three other cards with that bank.

      Besides, having CFPB slap them silly for being clowns is satisfying.
