@w7voa once you learn the FCC is considered the "dirtiest" agency in federal contracting, too, where contract officers literally hold their hands out for bribes, you become very afraid of flying.
@justiceLICSW@w7voa very reluctantly. When we were doing federal contracting I had a boss who was also a pilot, and he refused to let anyone fly commercially at all. He also refused to sell products or services to the FCC.
@justiceLICSW@w7voa I actually once had a conversation from a FCC contracting officer years later who wanted me to bid telephony software to the FCC. He told me he would assure we would would win if we subcontract with his wife, whom was setup as a 8H firm, since he would oversee the bid. First time I wish I had recorded a call. Pure slime. I hear though that DHS may have dethroned the FCC as the dirtiest agency in the last decade.
@justiceLICSW@w7voa I have had conversations related to the far and bidding process/contract award with contract officers from other agencies, all were extremely ethical and professional. Then you had the FAA.
