The Cybertruck is literally a deniable assassination weapon. It is designed to be able to kill any passenger or pedestrian kinetically as well as to be able to blow up and send steel shrapnel everywhere in a pinch, and can be activated remotely from a central system that is entirely in the control of a dishonest tech company. Auditing requires taking the truck itself back to Tesla and/or acquiring the data from the central servers, where it can be conveniently molested while retaining a chain-of-custody statement that looks nominally reasonable. Additionally, once people start getting wise you can start actually planting evidence, blaming hackers for the deaths. Tell me I'm paranoid.
