But it means that "hopping in and playing around" is much easier on lemmy than it is on friendica. I only have very few friends on friendica, so I'm not that interested in communicating...
But (although I never was on facebook) I think friendica manages well to feel and work like facebook. It's interesting to tie it into the mastodon/lemmy comparison from last week – there I was surprised that lemmy felt much more content centered and less about persons. Now I'm tempted to say friendica feels even more person centered than mastodon. Maybe I could sum it up as: friendica~me, mastodon~you, lemmy~world.
It really tries to be *everything*, so it sometimes is a little much. There are a looooot of features, sadly, some of them seem not really finished/polished, some of options aren't straightforward and confusing.
