   I just had a need to look at something on X and it’s interesting, though perhaps not surprising, to see the number of people who have abandon the fediverse and moved back there.

     In the replies to your post, there are a bunch of people inventing what they think are the reasons that people are leaving the Fediverse. These invented reasons match their preconceived disdain for what they imagine Twitter users to like. It's clear that those people haven't even pretended to listen to any of the folk that came and left.

     Also, Content Warning nagging for non Content Warning worthy things, sucks, and makes for a miserable experience.

     Black users: There is more anti-Black racism on the Fediverse than on Twitter. I did not expect that.

     Jewish users: There is more anti-Semitism on the Fediverse than on Twitter. I did not expect that.

     Everyone else: Why are you going back to the Nazi bar?! 🤡

     This. The Fediverse. This. Is. The. nazi. Bar. You are standing in it right now.

     I don't want this to be true, which is why I'm spending precious time making it not true for more people.

     In any case, we have this very nice place on Infosec.exchange with 16,508 active accounts. It may be shrinking, but it’s a good bunch of people left.
