So funny over on Threads I made a comment about AI being at the end of the S-curve, that it’s mostly crypto dorks hawking it, and that once you get past the shock and awe it’s hollow tech. And a bunch of people who’ve either not properly read what I’ve written are mad I lumped it in with crypto bollocks, or warning how dangerous it is *and their examples are all the humans using it stupidly*

(Historical trivia: flash fires in underground mines used to cost hundreds of lives a year. These fires were mostly caused by flammable gas being ignited by miners' lanterns. The year after the Humphrey Safety Lantern was introduced, the death toll plummetted to just one. That one person had removed the safety shield from his lantern so that he could light his pipe from it. I think about this a lot when it comes to modern technology.)
