I have had my combeferre icon for probably a decade and I tend to be pretty change-averse. but what if I became embodied in a 19th century carving of a very fat bird instead

Ooh I've just realized that I was much better at remembering who said what back in LJ days, because I paid more attention to usernames. What with the icons being so fungible. On modern social media, when the icons don't change often, I have a tendency not to register usernames as I scroll. And then all I remember later is that I saw *someone* on the fediverse said a thing, but I don't know who it was.

Betty (betty@fandom.ink)'s status on Saturday, 25-Nov-2023 04:10:48 JST Betty @soph_sol The thing about lj is that a person was a *collection* of icons, so they usually changed gradually, over time, bit by bit, in the manner of, like, people.

I GUESS.
