   Jack Dorsey announced that Block is getting rid of performance improvement plans (PIPs) and instead managers will be expected to evaluate employees after product launches or other big events “whether to part ways immediately (instead of letting things linger).”

   This is about making it easier to fire people as the company has promised to layoff 1,000 out if its current 13,000 employees.

   Morale will be terrible as the layoffs will now be a slow and random seeming drip.

     en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Block,_I… is from 2009 already, originally named Square. They went 3D in 2001. 😃

     @carnage4life so if a manager screws up a product launch he just needs to fire a few underlings. Got it.

     And wait what is Block? Another Dorsey startup? That man has the attention span of a hummingbird on speed.
