     @mja they're all right I guess by the standards of snack crackers, the main advantage to me is that they're not an unknown unknown, they can readily be procured in bulk, and (with only minimal supplementation from other sources) can be *just about* survived on, although it is definitely not anywhere close to an ideal and I would not recommend anyone else to live as I do

     @mja That would require going downstairs and evading euphoric roommates, so I only have them whenever I can get extended time away from the apartment (plus fruits have their own problems re: sweetness)

     @allison @mja part of me thinks it's how unclean I felt. Because living where I was being gross in itself wasn't bad enough not having hot water I put of showers for long periods in the winter and fall. Really did not like it

     If you're gonna do this do yourself a favor and get hydrogenated peanut butter, and absolutely avoid anything with molasses in it. Peanut butter should have a sandy texture to it when fully mixed, but for whatever reason most big brands go out of their way to get rid of this texture and make slimy, sweet mush.
