I finished my journey through Mad Max (1979). The plot was simple but the driving and crash stunts were fantastic. (avoiding major spoilers) One of the major points of the film was Max's desire to hold onto what humanity and his connection to sanity and civilization, but these were torn from him by the gang of road pirates. After this Max goes on a roaring rampage of revenge, and by the end of the film, things that were holding him back like old ties to society and sanity are gone. I liked the combination of Western concepts blended into a slouching-towards-dystopia world. Storytellers who run Cyberpunk might get some ideas for Nomad gangs from the film, and it could also be used for ideas on running Cops in settings outside of major areas full of redneck gonks in the middle of nowhere. If you like dystopic cinema or revenge stories, or are into something that feels like it could be at home on the grindhouse circuit, this is a fine choice.
