   @DamienMarieAtHope out west among the Lakota, of course there is wakan tanka, or as has became fashionable, the great mystery, but I believe the idea of it being expressed purely as an abstract "singular" is very much post contact, which also makes it harder to connect pre and post contact beliefs and stories.
