There was a brief period when Firefox would remember the location of your "save as" dialog in your filesystem per domain.
Of course, it's either been removed or simply too buggy to function now.
But for a while....

Try on PC:
Settings, General, scroll half way down to Files and Applications, and in the Downloads section tick Ask you where to save files ?
@El_Jefe no, what I mean is when the "save as" dialog opens, the CWD is where you last left it *for that domain* instead of where you last left it.
@El_Jefe so, when I saved a .torrent file from my tracker, it knew I wanted them in `~/Sync/incoming-torrents`, and when I saved anything from my bank domain it knew I wanted it in `~/Sync/exports-for-ynab` and shit like that.
@Sophistifunk got it. Let me see.
@Sophistifunk when did they remove it? it seems to still work on 118.0.2
if this functionality broke on later versions i guess i'll just stay on 118 and use something else to stream or whatever else is broken.
@picofarad I guess it’s just buggy in a way that’s broken for me. Browsers are like that, and the organisations behind them are as bloated and bureaucratic as their software, so no point logging a bug report.
@Sophistifunk that's why i wondered what version broke this, as mine is from around july or august (when i installed windows on this machine) - and firefox hasn't been updated since. I also stopped it from updating in case this is an issue that *doesn't* get resolved/fixed.
@picofarad pretty sure it’s been broken longer than that for me.
