Looks to me like a bunch of satirical rhetoric aimed at yet another fedi character who cannot for the life of them just communicate and resolve conflicts normally. Have you tried not being a faggot?
Wow, Our outpoa.st staff try to behave like adults and it is much easier to contact local law enforcement for credible death threats. No need to defederate an entire service provider over the situation. Anyone can make an account on the instance and say something like that. The whole entire instance doesn't deserve it. The admin said it didn't happen on the sleepy.cafe instance.
Not too bothered by it, this Meowski person is clearly unhinged and their instance is single user or close. The SP.C thing is only slightly more bothersome, not necessarily because I personally interacted with many of them, but because some of our other people do, plus the principle of the matter and how it also hurts their user experience.
@khan@Terry@Prude@Sui@meowski@georgia@heyarnold@joe honestly, the realistic thing is to defederate the single user at most. You can’t control what people allow on their instances. At most you can give them awareness.
If any instance deserves it, it's definitely them, and even then it would be solely their faggot admin's fault, which would be normally solvable through action upon that singular user as I think is best when push comes to shove, except P insists on basically using his entire instance as a botnet on occasion no matter how others there may feel about it.
There's a lot of layers to it. Yes, there's the power corrupts/only the deranged wish to control tons of people consideration. But even if they're normal, by being the final say over the experiences of tons of people, any minor flaw in judgment can really mess with the overall network experience. The larger size amplifies any issues. Likewise, large instances are intrinsically bad for the purpose and resilience of the fedi.
It also just so happens we've seen a repeated pattern of dysfunction from several prominent admins (Grad, P, now Moon, etc.) that often results in them picking fights with us and people we like.
Possibly it's a stopgap while he's on vacation and has time to sort through stuff, but I was given no indication of that and of course I'm the last person to accept it quietly. If it stands, it's ever-so-convenient how it again affirms my point about large instance admins.
