I believe fossil fuel interests have bent the EV market to focus on range. Those kinds of cars should not be for cross county travel (yet). They should have small batteries you charge multiple times per week. Reducing weight, increasing efficiency, reducing cost, increasing demand. The “lack of demand” in the US, quoted in recent articles is based on those high prices. Who made them so expensive, and why? Looks like a conspiracy. When you see small EVs in other markets.
