compensators on pistols are a headache but are fine if you are using hot enough ammo. (Carry ammo or +P)

I sold my 92 years ago and I'm still finding reasons to dislike it 🤣 -

Account: Firearms (gat@mu.zaitcev.nu)'s status on Tuesday, 21-Nov-2023 01:08:08 JST Account: Firearms @Rocc I heard the factory Beretta 92 is the worst. They raised the mount up in order to leave room for the striker block that pops up from the top of the slide when trigger is getting pulled. -

I didn't mean to imply it's a problem, just not what I prefer. My partner's m17 has a dpp with a mounting plate and it feels absurdly high to me.
I'm sure some people don't even notice :nkoshrug: -

rocc@misskey.bubbletea.dev's status on Tuesday, 21-Nov-2023 01:08:12 JST Rocc Another big thing I've noticed from shooting other people's MOS series glocks is that the height over bore is what feels like significantly higher than a direct milled dot.
An attachment plate is a compromise for mass marketability. And it's a good thing! It lets tons of people who don't have the autism/cash to work through getting something milled themselves.
But it's a compromise nonetheless. -

rocc@misskey.bubbletea.dev's status on Tuesday, 21-Nov-2023 01:08:13 JST Rocc 2,500 bucks for this particular pistol tho
So doing the math on that.
~$550 glock 19
$500 Trijicon RM06
Only 1 front sight (dumb but around ~$50)
$300 surefire x300
$295.00 KKM drop-in barrel and brake (extremely worth it, I have this setup personally)
$135 for TAC trigger (unnecessary imo)
$100 zev magwell, this is a patrician tier choice here, but unneeded
?$ stippling job this example looks done well if you're into that.
So that's at $1,930 before the labor time for stippling and other costs, including milling and slide refinishing.
It's a better deal to just customize your glizz yourself imo. It's really expensive to do "nice" Glocks. Although you can easily spend way more than $2,500 if you wanna. My optic cost more than my pistol.
But it won't make your times any faster ;) -
