   @Macstodon it doesn’t actually trace any rays - the reflections aren’t accurate.

     @GrantMeStrength so I think I understand this a bit but I suspect you understand it on a whole different level. Could you explain why is this ‘fake’ but ray tracing software makes it ‘real’?

     We wasted all that time writing ray-tracing software and building ray-tracing hardware, when generative machine learning could just fake it.
