@void_trans @XenoLurch Now take the amounts and normalise them to the percentage of each country’s GDP and a different story emerges. Germany, the second-largest donor to WFP, actually contributes ~1.5 times as much as the US does as a percentage of its GDP (0.028% vs 0.044%).
And they also somehow managed to vote that everyone has a right to food.
So maybe it’s possible to do both after all.
