   "...the best and worst of human nature".

   I am so sick of people assigning "human nature" to horrifically unhealthy gender norms that say people (males) are violent "by nature."

   These stupid but widespread -myths- have saturated tons of cultures. Cultures that have been utterly infected with obscene levels of violence that -no one- but arms dealers, and power hungry sociopaths want.

   Various colonizers wiped out healthier norms as they took over- much like cancers wipe out healthier cells.

     to me it's really pretty simple: If literally billions of adult humans don't ever engage in a thing (for example, violence), then it's probably a cultural norm, not "human nature."

     it does not escape my irony detector that the continued brainwashing of people to accept violence as a part of "human nature" and thus a legitimate way to solve disputes makes me angry enough to -want to- resort to violence myself.

     Yet I don't. And I am ALSO HUMAN, like any of the literally billions of other HUMANS who don't resort to violence EVER as adults.
