   “People who have strong attachments to Israel the country but dislike the current government” probably describes a lot of people in my congregation actually. It’s a very hard place to be in.

   I’m not sure how I feel about Israel the country right now. Not like it should be abolished, but I can’t trust it. I already live in a super-problematic country that I’m trying to cope with, I don’t have the emotional bandwidth for two, LOLsob.

     I feel weird about the pro-Israel march the other day because on the one hand I know some people from my congregation were there but also there were probably some right-wing weirdos there who like Israel but hate Diaspora Jews.

     As for my congregation it’s kind of…Israel-ambivalent on the whole. We have some members who are actually Israeli, some people with friends or family there, some people with strong attachments to the country who dislike the current government, etc.
