   @TornadoOfTerror Everyone “le epic racist anime” posting has made me realize that the manga is almost certainly going to go in the direction of “maybe we can get along with demons after all” and I can already kind of see it on the arc I’m currently reading, if for no other reason than “total X death” is never going to be the ultimately vindicated position of a modern work. All that being said, I don’t think an attack on Titan tier cucking is possible, both because race war isn’t the main theme like in AOT but I also think there’s got to be a distinction that will be made between what was done before and what is right and wrong under the new paradigm that gets settled on by the end, I just don’t see them later on deciding that frieren’s current attitudes towards demons is wrong given the current situation.
   
   So that’s what I think about the thematic progression of the story. As to the anime, lol lmao. Whens the last time a good anime adaptation of a longer good manga kept being good the whole time? Unheard of.
