     don't forget how oversaturated the job market for them is either, you literally don't have to own shit, just a computer, internet access and enough autism to learn how to code and there you go, you're an IT specialist now or something

     i personally lean towards it being something that has a user interface written from scratch, be it terminal based or graphical, but i guess these days you'd be hardpressed to find something like that

     but i guess we can agree on it being a program if it doesn't use fucking chromium or electron for the user interface and an app if the guy writing it has his arms growing out his ass that he can't even use a template to make a proper interface

     take some drunk guy punching someone and an MMA fighter punching someone
     sure, objectively they're both punching someone, but in finer details you can easily differentiate a drunk guy's sloppy ass haymaker and an MMA fighter's calculated jab and you can on those grounds split up the objective definition and say that the drunk guy isn't even throwing a real punch because he has no idea what he's doing

     @kirby well it would be a shame if there was just much more shitcode because some fuckface thought "DURRRR THOSE MEANIE NAZIS ARE TALKING SHIT ABOUT MY CODE, I'LL JUST WRITE MORE OF IT AND THEY'LL SEETHE AND COPE!!!!!!!!!", but i think it'll have the long term effect of dogshit coders never improving and never going beyond chromium/electron garbage and their relevancy fading because there's so many of those, hell maybe they even ditch coding as a result, who knows
