   I find this story really upsetting. It looks like a grievous, historic abuse of human rights.

   I think the rhetoric from cabinet ministers suggests that it's being seriously considered, if it hasn't already been decided.

   I don't believe there are sufficient checks on the Netanyahu government to prevent them from putting this plan into place.

     I'd really love to hear right now that this is unlikely or untrue. The NYT reported a few days ago that there were back-channel negotiations proposing "temporary" evacuations of Gaza for hundreds of thousands of people.

     According to this article, the official position is that they will not be permanently displacing the population. It's also about how some of the most right-wing ministers keep telling the media that's exactly what they plan to do.

     @evan The Israelis are killing children in Gaza at a faster rate than the Nazis did at Auschwitz (136 a day vs 128 a day) They're not going to stop at implementing a death march through the desert.

     I think Egypt is wise to this though and that's why they've been holding the border closed.
