Bought 20lbs of "deer apples" for $12. Processed 10lbs to make cider. Have pressed about 5lbs of it so far, our press is small and not very efficient. Will probably upgrade before next season, but we've learned a lot using this little press! We also need to pickup more carboys to store and ferment our cider. I see them frequently at estate sales so we'll add more over time.

@miah We live a short road trip from the legendary Mercier Orchards and I've thought about doing this. Only thing is that I don't want to have the press laying around just to pull it out once a year.

@roadriverrail You can press lots of fruit and make wine from almost any fruit / vegetable. You could be using it year round =)
