   Still perplexed about the large number of people from Germany and Austria who confuse "never again" with "never again but if this one country does it it's fine".

   This is really personal for me having grown up in Austria (and having had actual Nazi grandparents) and I don't understand it.

   Israeli politicians are using the exact same tone and language when talking about Palestinians as my grandfather did when talking about Jewish people. It's heartbreaking to have to hear this garbage again.

     I can't believe I have to speak from personal experience with perpetrators of genocide like my grandparatens, but here I am.

     Please listen to me.

     And no, what's going on in Gaza is not the same as the Holocaust.

     But Israel's government is strongly heading into that direction and if "never again" has any meaning whatsoever we have a duty to demand they stop.

     @thomasfuchs how do you, gently, tell a Jew they're behaving like Nazis? their narrative isn't sophisticated enough to absorb the existential dilemma; so, instead, everyone who is against them is evil even when it's the entire world ... I think we need to have a better understanding of our human nature. You can only demonstrate how to be a better human.
