     @180 I've seen interviews where Kurt was afraid that Nirvana would just be seen as a Pixies rip-off band. Bowie talked about how much he respected the Pixies on several occasions. They inspired a lot of people with their sound, and still do.

     Yes, Kurt and Bowie were totally honest about sources they implemented in their works.

     I wonder if Kurt were speaking those words to urge public to purchase Pixies' music.

     @180 Kurt always liked promoting those who influenced him, so maybe that was one reason he said it. He also seemed pretty self-conscious about his skills, too. He shouldn't have been!

     @tyler I know. I wish if he could find any way to refresh and evolve. He would had hated to be materialistic, but could had bought some time to stretch his mind.
