I would argue though that a back yard breeder is much more likely to do a hip test than VWD. Also keep in mind the vet prices specifically on this are pretty cheap - most areas are going to see them as more expensive.

This is why breeding healthy dogs is not a good way to get rich. Although the profit difference between BYB and puppy mill is negligible. Imo the only difference between a back yard breeder and a puppy mill is basically are they hoarding? If yes, puppy mill. If no, BYB
