I've been talking to my son for a while now about my belief that physical reality - space-time, within which we are constrained to a speed limit of 186,282 miles/sec (speed of light) - is either a facade covering something we cannot see and have yet to comprehend enough to access it... or is a scaffold upon which that deeper reality is hung.

I hope I see this in my lifetime, as we'd go from being a species more or less bound to a single planet, to being a species that can literally fill the entire physical universe in a moment, constrained only by how many billions of humans currently exist.
My head hurts.

I believe a similar deepening/understanding/awareness of the physical manifestation we call the universe awaits discovery... and that when someone finally finds that Rosetta Stone and unlocks the doorway through which we can access the unseen world behind the physical universe, it will literally open up the entire universe to us...

No more James Webb Space Telescope to get a better look at the far edge of the physical universe - no, we won't need it, because we will have access behind the facade allowing us to relocate ourselves from earth to that edge of the universe in the blink of an eye. Amazing closeups of entire galaxies will be made by iPhone-like cameras from the vantage of a front row seat, unlike our present earth-locked circumstance where we have to rely on powerful telescopes to collect hi-res images.

Remember when we were young we were taught that the building blocks of matter were protons, neutrons and electrons? Our present awareness of subatomic particles dials WAY past that quaint obsolete understanding of the makeup of physical matter, and I bet we've barely scratched the surface of what really lies at the bottom of the subatomic rabbit hole.

An omnipresent God is everywhere at once - meaning when He experiences a thought, it occurs simultaneously in Georgia AND in the center of the Milky Way at the exact same infinitesimal moment in time.
This means that with Him information - specifically His thought - exceeds the universal speed limit - light takes tens of billions of years to traverse the physical universe, but His thoughts are instantaneous everywhere - which means His very existence exceeds that physical speed limit.

(What follows is written from my perspective as a Christian. It assumes that at some point in the past God created all we see (not necessarily in the literal six days found in Genesis) and did so because He had and has a desire to interact with beings possessing free will who can choose whether or not to interact with Him. No inference impugning other religions/beliefs should be taken.)

The universe we can see makes no sense as a place for us to inhabit. The spaces between stars are so incomprehensibly vast that unless someone digs up the Stargate in Egypt, there is no way for us to exist and persist in any meaningful way outside of lower earth orbit.
The universe as we currently perceive it is, in effect, a museum of God's Greatest Hits, and a lousy one at best. Absent technology that may be out of reach for millennia, we can't walk through it to see the exhibits.
