My dog Haley just died. She'd gone into the bedroom when she started yelping. I ran in and she was tremoring, then it stopped and she started to intermittently take long desperate gasps. All I could do was cradle her.
She didn't respond to me, she was probably already gone. I let her go, fuck.
She and I have quite a history. I got her when she was three, I was her third or fourth owner. She was really messed up, she took years of love and kindness to become a happy loving dog.
