     @shyra I hated Windows 95 because it swapped my precious DOS (tweaked out DR-DOS) with a bloated, slow and crashy GUI shell that I didn't need or want so I skipped Windows 95 entirely and only finally installed Windows 98SE as a secondary dual-boot in late 1999 or something.

     @shyra I waited until fall '96 when I was first able to upgrade my 486 to 12mb RAM. Went from DOS 6.22 with Windows 3.1 using the 17-disk Windows 95 Upgrade
