     @graf @p yea, you should. i did have weechat (with weechat-matrix) set up at one point to connect my weechat to matrix servers but still definitely prefer IRC since weechat-matrix isn't really a full matrix client implementation anyway. am not a big fan of using matrix anyway

     @itsover @graf Matrix is a horror movie villian, like a slasher flick, Matrix is all huge and slowly lurching somewhere. IRC works on anything anywhere.

     @itsover @p try being a server admin and dealing with it. our database is 1.4x larger than the entire poast database on-disk. and it's all old states from large rooms like the ones on matrixHQ

     @graf @p yeah, that's what i mean... being a user is one thing, but managing that infrastructure has got to be 100x worse... and that database size is ridiculous

     @p @graf @itsover Its a nasty piece of software thats for sure. Irc and (xmpp) are still great, i wish i could get more peps on irc though. Xmpp is very easy in fact since it has many good mobile clients.

     @dcc @graf @itsover XMPP even has bitlbee as a client, so you can just use IRC.
