     @mgifford Last year, #Flickr said they are studying it. We haven't heard any updates since.

     I would suggest using #Pixelfed for your photos since you can upload more than 4 images through it. Or, any other Fediverse software; avoid Mastodon when it comes to images/gallery: (1) you can only upload max 4 images; and (2) anything beyond 4 attachments, Mastodon sends it to the blackhole. It's not a bug, it's by-design, still, it should be “fixed”.

     @mgifford @youronlyone The "blackhole" issue is frustrating. I have found that most followers of my Pixelfed account are on Mastodon. If I post more than 4 photos, not only will those people not see more than 4 photos, they won't have any indication that they are missing anything.

     Similarly, any location or copyright information added in Pixelfed just disappears on Mastodon.

     I too would prefer to focus on Flickr for photos, but I am doubtful if they will ever join the Fediverse.

     @alan @mgifford Yep. And the #photography instances powered by Mastodon doesn't realise they are (1) missing out big time; and (2) forcing the #fediverse to max 4 images per post.
