Living-space-design lukewarm take that the gargoyl in my head tells me to post: any possession left offhand in a place, but which is more usable in a different location or is inhibiting the use of another object by virtue of it’s placement relative to that other object, is better randomly misplaced or disrupted into a new location than left where it is- this is to say that if a box which is on top of something you need is better left in the middle of the kitchen floor than left on top of something you need, whether you need that something right now or not.
