@Sophistifunk I would expect poor reliability, but finish looks good and tech looks good... and I say that as someone who owns an actual jeep grand Cherokee.
@Sophistifunk Dude it may or may not be bad but this 'bloke' is absolute the worst reviewer of any car I've seen... He has no video of the car, he doesn't actually test drive the car, he doesn't show where he's pulling stats from, and his math is off... so honestly I don't know any more than I did before you posted the link :)
@Genen what are you talking about? There’s shitloads of footage of locals testing the car and showing it lifts the wheels off on hard breaking. Cadogan doesn’t have a test drive because after doing that job for like 30 years he started being honest and doesn’t get press cars any more except from companies who stand by their shit like Hyundai. He’s a longstanding car journalist and an actual engineer.
@Sophistifunk@Genen yeah getting some sexy photos of the car and doing a lap around the block is not exactly learning anything about the quality of the vehicle. If you want to buy a big fancy 4WD to commute to work in the city I'm sure I'll be just fine. But if you can afford the $50k on this you should probably just spend the $80k on a landcruiser or something instead.
@ned@Sophistifunk@Genen I have learnt enough from that review to know to never buy one, that lane keeping isn't 'buggy' it's dangerous, he looks to be in an area with very well marked outside lane lines. I'm going to guess as soon as there is a bit of a rough edge you'll be hurled straight into the bush.
Australia should tariff these things out of existence so we can have local car manufacturers again.
@Sophistifunk Ya... I'll pass... used to all the good US car journalists doing their own tests, not watching someone else's youtube videos :) But either way that car isn't available in the US.
