Mastodon has a post editing feature which lets you make changes to your posts after they've been published.
Here's how to edit:
1. Go to the post
2. Click ⋯
3. Click "Edit"
4. Make the changes you want (including adding or removing attachments, or adding alt text descriptions)
5. Click "Save Changes"
NOTE: To prevent abuse, every time you edit a post it will send a notification to everyone who has interacted with it. So, try not to make too many edits! 😁
You cannot edit post visibility.

You can edit polls, but if you edit the options on the poll it resets the numbers to zero.

If you edit a post in any way, that will be notified to everyone who interacted with it, whether they are mentioned or not.
There's also a link on the edited post to show all the previous versions of the post.

You see the entire text of all the previous versions. Click on "Edited" and then select one of the versions, it will show you the text in that version.

@feditips si si, yes yes, lo veo lo veo, pero siempre he pensado que en principio de la implementacion de editar, creo, solo veia el numero de ediciones y que no se podia ver el texto anterior, igual siempre ha sido así y lo que me faltaba era un click mas, no se. Esta bueno que se vea el toot antes de editar.

Yup, just played around a bit with some test posts and you're right, this applies to boosts.

@feditips @coloco This is what makes it cool imo. I have mixed feelings on notifications since that could annoy people. But I get it.
