     @SystemsSam Just remember, they pour millions of dollars into Oreo cookie R&D and make them in the largest bakery in the world, that employs hundreds of people. Then they advertise them incessantly, mostly to maintain market share.

     Meanwhile, most people would be much better off eating fruit, which gets almost no advertising, is barely processed after harvesting, and after a few weeks without Oreos, will satify even the sweetest tooth.

     @SystemsSam Let's give them the benefit of the doubt: They're looking at trees only from a #globalwarming perspective and as oxygen factories. Faced with a limited budget, they came up with a cost effective solution.

     Thus solving the purported problem.

     While that all might all be true, it's not why we put trees in cities. They're just choosing to "solve" an easier problem than, ya know, the more difficult one.
