     @Inginsub @RustyCrab I maintain three goon/findom twitter accounts and make blacked edits for a living. Generally GIMP's colorize filter with some brown shade works fine for me, though it's useful to keep a copy of the layer, convert it to greyscale and use color to alpha to make the shades more visible

     @RustyCrab slugbert made niggafat, not me. You can duplicate the layer and set one to color mode and the other to multiply or value, and change the opacity on both

     @Inginsub okay I could use a hint on this one. What's the method you used on niggafat? I'm trying different things but I'm losing way too much definition with every attempt and it just doesn't look like a real picture anymore
