   Speaking with a friend in Melbourne just now.
   They are one of THIRTEEN people in their small office to contract COVID since last Thursday.
   They have been really unwell the entire week, with EVERY symptom from EVERY variant - including, loss of taste/smell, gastric upset, brain fog, lethargy, cold-like symptoms, aches and pains....all of them. They are fully vaxxed.
   When the FUCK are we going to wake up?

     In the Netherlands this is normal now.

     First, you get into way too crowded trains where many people are coughing and no one is wearing a mask to get to the workplace.

     At the workplace, people come in sick, because this is what we did before Covid, and no one is wearing a mask either.

     And everyone is calling it a "flu" or "a cold". And if someone develops long Covid, it is called "burn-out".

     While quite a bit of the work could be done from home.

     I just can't....my friend is a very intelligent person, who has been a #NOVID until now and it so angry at being exposed at work.

     Even the employer seems to think that it is part of running a business these days that your team may be off sick for a week or so every half a year.

     The employer has failed on all and any health & safety metric. Pretty disgusting.
     With that number of people, it's pretty much a given that at least one will become extremely unwell, develop #longCOVID or worse.

     Next week they will probably say that it was no big deal or that it cannot be prevented.
