   Do action movies suck now, or am I just getting old? I used to enjoy action scenes. Now I keep a sudoku handy to work on during the fights, shootouts, and car chases. They are so trite and predictable.

     @phaethon they are absolute garbage as a rule. The only thing worth watching any more if you like old action movies is Mission Impossible and Fast n Furious.

     You call that old? My idea of "old action movies" is Western, Steve McQueen, Bruce Lee, and yes, 007. 007 can be silly at times, but delivers. Just avoid the entire Pierce Brosnan era.
