     @icedquinn you don't get it, it's about bypassing the shitty phone DAC, because people with good ears can DEFINITELY tell the difference and definitely don't just have a DAC dongling from their phone to attract conversations about how their ears are so good

     @SirVo dedicated dacs are mostly only worth it when your headphones cost way too much. in the case of high resistance units (like the ploopy magnetic planars) you do start to notice it, since the resistance and impetance of the foons is quite high.
     
     in this case apparently passive bone conductors are quite hongry though. i guess thats why most all of them now are bluetooth :\

     @SirVo yeah. i had some. went to use them recently and they won't report themselves over bluetooth though (i turn scan on, hold it, flashes, they don't show up in the local broadcasts :blobcatgrimacing:)

     @icedquinn consumer bone conduction IEMs exist? and yeah I figure that getting sound through bone in a clean fashion without any implants would take a fair amount of DSP and power

     @SirVo oh. i figured out how to pair them again.
     
     i wouldn't really recommend this model its chinese as hell. was a fun way to test the concept but well. pairing mode does nothing, you have to block them from connecting to their old host before it will send the introduction packets again :comfyglare:
