    Did you know that in Germany some holidays are specially protected. These are called "silent holidays". In addition to Good Friday, for example, Ash Wednesday, Sunday of the Dead and All Saints' Day. There is a legal ban on music, sports and dance events, as well as a ban on the public screening of over 700 films, including 'The Life of Brian' and 'Heidi'.
