   @coolboymew afaik apple devices can only be charged with authentic chargers (or chynese knock offs that have copied the proprietary IC the chargers have inside). I don't see why this is a big deal, console manufacturers have never permitted this in the first place. It just happens they're now able to enforce it.

     Yeah that was a thing recently, where the EU mandated USB-C, Apple complied, but under the condition that it's usb 2.0 speeds unless you use the Apple™️ cables. The EU told Apple in the "no market if you do this" way to fuck off.
