   ✏️📺 In our museum collection, we have a unique gaming console called the Vectrex, which comes with its own built-in TV screen. Its distinctive feature, as evident from its name, is vector graphics (made up of lines) instead of raster graphics (like pixels on the screen) - giving its games a unique look and very smooth animations.

     @muzej fun fact for San Franciscans: there's a functioning Vectrex on the upstairs bar at DNA Lounge @dnalounge. If you express the least bit of silent interest in it the bartenders will silently power it on :). My elementary school library had a donated Vectrex but I hadn't played one since.

     @muzej one of the great things about the Vectrex is that, because of its vector graphics, the games haven't dated the way that sprite -based games have. The lines are sharp, the phosphor glow is unique and the machines itself is a self-contained thing of beauty!
